“An authentic work of great talent.”- The New York Times Book Review Now his choices could save-or destroy-the Empire.

Gifted with only an ancient sword, a loyal dragon, and sage advice from an old storyteller, Eragon is soon swept into a dangerous tapestry of magic, glory, and power.

Perfect for fans of Lord of the Rings, the New York Times bestselling Inheritance Cycle about the dragon rider Eragon has sold over 35 million copies and is an international fantasy sensation.įifteen-year-old Eragon believes that he is merely a poor farm boy-until his destiny as a Dragon Rider is revealed. So, people of Alagaësia, I trust your wisdom above anything else, I need an advice!ĮDIT: Alright! I think I will read it after all, thanks everyone :) :)ĮDIT 2: I finished it and wanted to post an update, so here it goes: I really, really enjoyed the book! Sure, some stuff wasn't properly dealt with, I kinda expected some revelation on Angela, and I guess the final battle wasn't much of a surprise.Don’t miss the latest book from the author of Eragon, The Fork, the Witch, and the Worm: Tales from Alagaësia! Is the book as bad as they picture it? Should I just store it in my bookshelf and never read it? I would rather not read it if I knew it will ruin my expectations. I managed to stay away from spoilers, but at the same time I noticed how many found the last book disappointing. Eager to know how the story goes on I ordered Inheritance from Amazon, and of course I started reading a few comments here and there. Three weeks ago I was looking for new books to read, and I decided to pick up the story from the beginning, well, it was way better than I remembered! I absolutely devoured them, and just today I finished Brisingr. Brisingr wasn't published yet at the time, I bought it in 2008 but never got around reading it. I originally started reading the inheritance cycle as a kid, I read Eragon and Eldest and really enjoyed the story.
